In a strategic move to strengthen collaboration between the local government and traditional institutions, the newly inaugurated Executive Cabinet of Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Monday, paid a familiarisation visit to the palace of the Ranodu of Imota.
The visit was led by the Executive Chairman of Imota LCDA, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele (BSA), alongside the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Abisoye Omowunmi Jimoh.
It was aimed at formally introducing the new cabinet members to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajibade Bakare- Agoro, CFR, Ranodu of Imota, Olufoworetẹ II, and to seek his royal blessings as they commence their responsibilities in service to the people.

Receiving the delegation at his palace, the revered monarch, Oba Ajibade warmly welcomed the council leadership and expressed delight over the new appointments. He emphasised the importance of unity, mutual respect, and cooperation between the local government and the traditional institution in advancing the development of Imota LCDA.
The monarch encouraged the cabinet members to prioritise policies and programmes that will stimulate the local economy and create meaningful opportunities for young people in the area.
Oba Ajibade further assured the council leadership of the palace’s continuous support, stressing the need to preserve Imota’s rich cultural heritage while integrating traditional values into governance and community development efforts.

Speaking during the visit, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with the traditional ruler. He noted that the council remains dedicated to initiatives that will improve the welfare of residents and accelerate development across the community.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to deliberate on key issues affecting the community, including infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and economic growth.
